These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FateNex at https://fatenex.com (the "Service"), operated by COMNEX LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17540341, registered office 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). Contact: support@fatenex.com.

By creating an account or making a purchase you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

1. The Service

The Service generates charts from traditional metaphysical systems (BaZi / Four Pillars, Zi Wei Dou Shu, Qi Men Dun Jia, Liu Yao) based on the birth or question data you enter, and provides interpretations generated by artificial intelligence ("AI interpretations"), digital reports (where available) and related features.

2. Entertainment and self-reflection only — important

• Traditional metaphysics is a cultural and philosophical tradition. It has no scientific basis and cannot predict the future. The Service, including all charts, AI interpretations and reports, is provided for entertainment and personal reflection only. AI interpretations are symbolic references and do not constitute predictions or professional advice.
• Nothing in the Service is medical, psychological, legal, financial, investment, tax or other professional advice. Do not rely on it to make important decisions about your health, relationships, money, career or safety; consult a qualified professional instead.
• AI interpretations are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or inconsistent. We do not claim that any reading is accurate or true.
• If you are in distress or crisis, please contact local emergency services or a support line (in the UK: Samaritans, 116 123).

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Paid purchases on the website are currently available only to customers located in the United Kingdom or the United States. We do not offer paid services in Japan, Mexico or Thailand. We may decline, cancel and refund orders placed from other countries.

4. Your account

• You sign in using our authentication provider. Keep your login details secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• Provide accurate information. Birth data you enter is used only to produce your charts and interpretations (see the Privacy Policy).
• You may ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@fatenex.com from your account email. Deleting your account cancels any active web membership; unused purchases are forfeited except as stated in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms (for example fraud, abuse, automated scraping, or attempts to circumvent usage limits), after notice where reasonable.

5. Prices, currency and payment

• All web prices are shown and charged in US dollars (USD) and include any applicable taxes (VAT/sales tax). There are no delivery charges. Your bank may charge foreign-exchange or cross-border fees, which are outside our control.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay; auto-renewing memberships need a payment method that supports recurring payments (such as a card). We do not see or store your full card details.
• Current prices: auto-renewing memberships: Standard US$19.90/month or US$238.80/year; Pro US$39.90/month or US$478.80/year. Fixed-term memberships (no automatic renewal): Standard US$19.90 for 30 days or US$238.80 for 365 days; Pro US$39.90 for 30 days or US$478.80 for 365 days. Ask the Master (AI) 5-question pack US$1.99. The price that applies is the one shown at checkout.
• A contract is formed when your payment is confirmed and we email you a receipt/confirmation.

6. Memberships and automatic renewal

• Auto-renewing memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the price you subscribed at, and your payment method is charged on the renewal date, until you cancel. Fixed-term memberships (30 or 365 days) do not renew; they simply end at the end of the term.
• How to cancel: Account → Membership → Manage subscription → Cancel (Stripe billing portal), or email support@fatenex.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then. Uninstalling the app or not using the Service does not cancel a membership.
• We will notify you in advance of any price change, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
• Membership benefits (features, quotas and credits) are described on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Unused monthly quotas do not roll over unless stated.
• Memberships bought through Apple or Google are governed by those stores' terms for billing, cancellation and refunds.

7. Cancellation rights and refunds

Your 14-day cancellation right, how it applies to digital content and services that start immediately at your request, and our refund rules are set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. In summary: if you cancel a new membership within 14 days you get a full refund if you have not used it (otherwise a pro-rata refund); before buying a question pack, you will be asked to agree that supply begins immediately and to acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once supply has begun. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

8. Digital content quality

We will supply digital content and services with reasonable care and skill and as described. If something we supply is faulty, tell us and we will fix or replace it, or refund you where required by law. "Faulty" refers to technical defects (non-delivery, corruption, incompleteness, wrong product), not to whether you agree with an interpretation.

9. Acceptable use

You must not: use the Service unlawfully; resell, scrape or systematically extract content; reverse-engineer or overload the Service; bypass usage limits or payment; use it to harass others or to enter another person's personal data without a lawful basis; or use outputs to make claims to others that a reading is accurate or certain.

10. Intellectual property

• The Service, its software, design, text, algorithms and reports are owned by or licensed to COMNEX LTD and protected by intellectual property laws.
• We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service and to download, print and keep your own charts, interpretations and reports for personal, non-commercial use.
• You keep any rights in the data you enter. You grant us a licence to process it to provide the Service as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Availability and changes

We may update, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid membership or materially reduce its main features, we will tell you in advance and refund the unused part of any prepaid period. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability; planned maintenance will be kept as short as possible.

12. Our liability to you

• If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our negligence, but we are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
• We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for breach of your statutory rights as a consumer.
• Because the Service is for entertainment and self-reflection only (s.2), we are not responsible for decisions you make or actions you take based on charts, interpretations or reports.
• We supply the Service for domestic and private use only. We have no liability to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
• Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms for legal, regulatory or operational reasons or to reflect changes to the Service. We will notify you of material changes by email or on the site before they take effect. If you do not agree, you may cancel your membership and close your account before the change takes effect.

14. Complaints

Please contact support@fatenex.com. We aim to reply within 2 business days and resolve complaints within 14 days.

15. Governing law and courts

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

16. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation; we will tell you and this will not affect your rights. These Terms are written in English. Any translation is provided for convenience only; if there is any inconsistency, the English version prevails.
